So, what defines a witch ? In my opinion it's what was an everyday way of life for perhaps the majority of us in times gone by. I believe we all have powers to heal, foresee events, be in contact with the spirit world etc. Unfortunately through indoctrination, propaganda and the punishment of such beliefs, our natural abilities have been lost to some. By believing in these natural abilities with a positive disposition we can tap back into our spititual world. I believe in witches, fairies, angels, ghosts, demons....etc. I practice natural medicine, keep crystals, believe in my dreams, recognise the lunar phases and also have the ability to councel. Thank goodness we no longer either dunk or burn people like myself !!

This is exactly my point and what I hope to write about very soon and post on my blog. The simple fact that as with many misunderstood religions or belief systems, what we don't understand or even fear slightly we have suppressed, with now d**ning effects. As you said many of us who posses these abilities don't know it now as we have lost it through the ages thanks to new beliefs that have become a part of our society. Perhaps we are not supposed to know, perhaps someone doesn't want us to know, who knows. All I know is that the way of the witch is very real and not half as dark as we are lead to believe, just different from how we do things !
